Scott Patrick McGowan is a life-long musician who took 7 years of piano lessons beginning at the age of 7.

During the course of his formal training he studied with the same Peabody graduate at a local music store. Besides giving him classical training, after progressing for a few years, she also allowed him to bring in some of his own music that he wanted to learn. 

While Scott was studying piano, he gained public performance experience by participating in the talent shows held by his grade school. 

Then, throughout high school, before graduating and receiving his Excellence in Business award, he loved to take outings on the weekends to buy new piano music with his earnings from his part time job.

Scott has continued to build a collection of music scores ever since and has spent decades playing for his own enjoyment as well as that of others. 

A graduate of the University of Delaware with a B.A. in Psychology (3.24 GPA) in his college years Scott began more actively singing when he played piano, along with his basic guitar playing which he picked up on his own during high school.

He and his friends often organized informal music jamming sessions and performed at the open mic of a local cafe.

Later on, concurrently with his initial years of becoming a piano teacher & music school owner,  he spent about 10 years providing professional musical entertainment services to Baltimore area nursing homes and facilities.

He also spent about 8 years as a church pianist for Sunday services as well as a member of the choir.

Scott is very outgoing and has a very kid-friendly personality.

Apart from teaching piano and managing his music school, Scott enjoys singing karaoke with his wife, Kathy and their friends as well as participating in informal music jams and seeing live local bands and getting on the dance floor.

In more recent years, Scott's life-long love of reading and writing has given rise to his self-publication of 9 books on Amazon, including 2 children's books and his nearly 500 page autobiography as well as his 400 + treatise on narcissism within the context of family dynamics and healing from narcissistic abuse which was written between 12/21/23 and 2/9/24 and espouses his own spiritual approach to finding profound and life changing liberation from this painful challenge which he shares with others... 

He has also had 2 autobiographical business articles published in prominent Baltimore area publications.

In addition, his business has also been featured in two interview style online articles in Authority Magazine and this coming Spring a feature article is slated for appearance in Batlimore's Child Magazine that culminates in history repeating in the form of his second bride, Kathy joining him in his music school on an evolving basis, playing "key" roles (pun intended) both as an instructor specializing in beginner lessons provided in person only, as well as in administrative and customer service capacities, drawing on her (she is also an artist) 30 plus years business experience in corporate America (from which Scott not so secretly plans to eventually succeed in fully kidnapping her from)...

Scott also loves to travel, and has enjoyed over a dozen tropical Caribbean vacations over the years.

His love for words and language extends to his ongoing cultivation of fluency in Spanish when he has visited the areas of Playa del Carmen and Cancun 7 times - most recently Cancun in the summers of 2022 & 2023 with his new wife Kathy for their honeymoon followed by another trip to celebrate their first wedding anniversary.

Since his return from their second trip to Cancun together - he has taken up a new direction in his love of literature and foreign language by reading Spanish short stories and other books written in Spanish.

After creating a YouTube channel that provides education and support to others who may be contending with emotional abuse / narcissism / toxic family dynamics - Scott is now returning to the creation of more content for his music performance channel.
